Across many Hospitals and Care Settings, Carers and Nursing staff are not even allowed to cut fingernails!

This I feel is basic care, so after the frustration of not being able to do this for the people I care for, I decided to complete nail cutting training.

After the Lockdown many of my care clients had nail appointments cancelled, yet this is actually classed as an essential service so was allowed to continue.

I understand Foot Therapists etc make their own decisions with regard to if they want to stop home visits, however to the client with long nails this remains an important requirement in their overall health and wellbeing.
